Here are some answer's to my frequently asked questions, but if you still have any questions just add me on Snapchat or DM me on Instagram and I'd love to help!
How do I Sign-Up?
All you have to do is click the SIGN-UP tab and fill out the information! Shoot me a message on Snapchat or Instagram after and we can talk about what you want to learn, how we can best achieve that, and any scheduling setup! All links to my social media can be found on my "links" page.
I don't live in Canada, can I still take lessons?
100% Yes! All lessons are online right now due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so lessons are available EVERYWHERE IN THE WORLD! As long as we can find a time in my schedule that works for both of our timezones, we are good to go!
I'm a beginner and I have ZERO knowledge about music, can I still take lessons?
Of course! Everyone has to start somewhere! Beginning your music journey is one of the most exciting things because it's the first time that many fall in love with it! I'll start you off slow, with some basics like how to hold your instrument or tuning. Then we will progress to basic riffs/songs and as soon as you feel comfortable moving forward, then off we go! I love to help students learn songs that they actually like, so while some of your favorite songs may be quite difficult, they can always be simplified or worked on over multiple lessons :)
I've been playing for a while, but I was hoping to get lessons so I can get even better, is that ok?
Yes! Teaching intermediate/advanced students is super fun because we can learn more advanced songs, and start writing music if you desire!
I've been playing music for most of my life and have had years of training for many different instruments, with performance, recording and teaching experience for many of my instruments and singing, HOWEVER, I am not the best musician in the world.
If you are Eric Clapton reading this, I'm sorry buddy but there's not much I can teach you. That being said, I have not reached this point in any of my lessons and I have been able to teach many students without running out of things to teach. I just ask that if you are feeling like you are not happy with the difficulty of things you are learning with me, that you let me know, and we can discuss ending lessons, or I can even help you out with finding out how to further your musical education beyond my knowledge.
Like I said, I may not be able to teach everyone, but as long as you haven't been playing for 10 years, I hope I can help you learn something fun and useful!
I'm feeling a bit nervous about one-on-one lessons, so I don't know if I want to learn music.
That's totally OK! Music can be both an exciting thing and an overwhelming one, and theres a fine line between the two. However, many of my friends say I am quite easy to talk to, and we can start talking on snapchat or instagram without commiting to lessons if that might make you feel more comfortable. I know that zoom calls can seem daunting, but I promise you, I'm here to help you have fun and learn the most you can. So don't hesitate to reach out to discuss lessons, and I'm sure I can help reassure you that you can in fact do this!
